Well, I’m a big fan of GOT due to its amazing and powerful script. It’s totally unpredictable when suddenly out of nowhere, an important character come to an end of his role due to conspiracies or some other factors. More interestingly, how someone who is imprisoned totally changes the situation in his/her favor, get free and take revenge. I really like it and eagerly waits for next episodes.
Earlier this week, unknown attackers hacked HBO and stole 1.5 TB of information, which was later confirmed by company officials.
At the beginning of the week, the attackers published script of the 4th episode of the Season 7 of the Game of Thrones, which should be aired on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Now unknown hackers have gone a step further. On the night of August 4 to August 5, the fourth episode of the seventh season of the “Game of Thrones” was published. The copy was distributed through torrent trackers, as well as services Vidme and Google Drive. though HBO is taking corrective measure now to stop further leakage and blocks such but damage has been done and the episode can easily found on the Internet.
Apparently, this copy was intended for internal use. So, a very low-quality video is marked with a warning For Internal Viewing Only and “watermarks” of the media company Star India Pvt Ltd. This company is owned by 21st Century Fox and owns the rights to broadcast HBO products in India.
Official representatives of Star India have already confirmed the fact of leakage and reported that an internal investigation of the incident has been started. Based on the words of the representatives of Star India, the media suggest that today’s leak and the publication of the script earlier this week may not be connected at all, that is, there may be two independent hacking.
